Est. 1979! Overview
In 1978, Floyd and Judy Anderson packed their four daughters into a car in Buffalo, New York and set off for Arizona to follow their dream of owning and running a restaurant. They bought a small local pizza joint, renamed it "Native New Yorker", and threw their life savings into building a successful business. It wasn't that easy.

After months of terrible sales, long hours, and a roller-coaster of emotions, Judy had an epiphany: Chicken Wings. The Andersons were the first to bring wings to Arizona, and they were an instant hit! Native New Yorker began receiving awards for their wings almost immediately. The Andersons soon became local icons, and Native New Yorker (or, "Native", as the regulars called it), became an Arizona favorite.

In 2014, Native New Yorker officially updated its name to Native Grill & Wings, and gave the logo a much-needed facelift. These days, a strong leadership team has majority ownership of the company. Together with the founding family and a growing group of franchisees, the new owners are working toward expanding Native Grill & Wings and receiving nationwide recognition.

Native Grill & Wings has matured over 35 years of uncompromising flavor, food and fun. With the brand starting out as Native New Yorker Restaurant, named after a goofy little disco song that the founding family members listened to as they made their way from Buffalo New York in 1978, the birth place of the infamous chicken wing, to Native Grill & Wings which represents the loyal following of our guests. It can be heard over and over again; "I visited this Native", "we met at this Native", "we celebrated our championship game at this Native".

With 30 restaurants and growing, Native Grill & Wings is looking to break into emerging markets with strong, like-minded Franchise entrepreneurs who are passionate about keeping the legacy of the Anderson family dream alive and well. The 20 plus time winner of "Best Wings" awards is expanding to a location near you. We are currently in Arizona, Montana, South Dakota, and Texas. Native Grill & Wings continues to serve chicken wings, along with sandwiches, burgers, salads, and much more; its choices are sure to leave your mouth watering and your lips smiling.
